Paula Maçaira has been a professor at the Teaching and Research Board of the Department of Industrial Engineering since 2019. Her research interests include Statistical Learning, Statistical Programming, Time Series and Forecasting. Such interests are aligned with the Time Series Analysis and Machine Learning projects from the Statistical Methods and Analytics research line, from the Operations Research concentration area and the Business analytics project from the Business Management research line, from the concentration area of Operations and Business in Engineering, within the academic postgraduate program in Production Engineering. Interests also aligned with the project of Decision Support Methods in Logistics and Supply Chain, from the Transport and Logistics Systems Planning research line, from the Logistics concentration area of ​​the professional master’s program in Logistics. She currently holds a FAPERJ Young Scientist scholarship since 2021, a CNPq PQ Level 2 productivity scholarship since 2023 and a FAPERJ Young Woman Scientist scholarship since 2024. She is the deputy coordinator of the Production Engineering degree. She co-founded and is co-coordinator of the Forecasting and Resource Optimization Group (FROG) laboratory and the Health Operations and Intelligence Center (NOIS). He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Operational Research (SOBRAPO), the International Institute of Forecasters (ISF) and is part of the board of the ISF Section on Water, Energy and EnvironmenT (SWEET) community.
