In the last years the DEI has implemented an opening policy for the professional and productive sector. With this objective, it implemented a series of “Lato sensu” and “Stricto sensu” extension courses. These courses are offered under the responsibility of PUC-Rio’s CCE (Central Extension Coordination), which is a department directly subordinated to the Vice-Rectory for university’s academic subjects.
The most important objective is to attend the technical and academic improvement and updating necessities of the professionals that act in the several production engineering areas. Besides these courses, the DEI has also been highlighted by its training course organization, which are specific for private and public companies. Always trying to adequate itself to the reality of productive sector’s necessities, the DEI maintains in these courses the same quality guaranteed by PUC-Rio’s academic excellence.
