Prof. Igor Peres has been a professor at the Teaching and Research Board of the Department of Industrial Engineering since 2023 and at the Professional Master’s in Logistics since 2022.

His research interests cover the topics:

Predictive modeling based on Machine Learning techniques,
Time Series and Artificial Intelligence
Process analysis and improvement using Process Mining and Simulation techniques
Analysis and modeling of large databases through Statistics and Data Science

He has a doctorate (2021) and a master’s degree in Production Engineering (2017) from PUC-Rio, and a degree from UFRJ (2010).

He has worked as a consultant in “Decision Support” at the TECGRAF Institute (PUC-Rio) since 2018.

He has been a member of the NOIS (Health Operations and Intelligence Center) since its creation (2020), a research group with the objective of incorporating statistics and data science into the sizing and optimization of resources in the healthcare area.

He worked as coordinator of consultancy projects at the company Trilha da Inovação from 2010 to 2014.
