Prof. Fernando Luiz Cyrino Oliveira joined the Department of Industrial Engineering in 2014. He is a member of the Operations Research concentration area. Graduated in Production Engineering (2007) and Specialization in Computational Statistical Methods (2009), emphasis on Statistical Quality Control and Forecasting Models, from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, Master’s degree (2010) and Doctorate (2013) in Electrical Engineering by PUC-Rio. He works, above all, in the area of Modeling, Forecasting and Simulation of Time Series and Data Analytics for Planning and Control of Production and Operations Systems. He was Coordinator of Postgraduate Studies and Research from 2015 to 2023. Since 2023 he has been Director of DEI. He is leader of the CNPq Research Group entitled Time Series Analysis. Coordinator of the Forecasting and Resource Optimization Group (FROG). He is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Institute of Forecasters (IIF), Vice-President of the Brazilian Society of Operational Research (SOBRAPO) and President of the National Association of Postgraduate Programs and Research in Production Engineering (ANPEPRO). Level 1 Productivity Scholarship from CNPq and the Young Scientist of Our State Program, FAPERJ. He is Associate Editor of Production Magazine and Forecasting Journal. The researcher is leader of the CNPq Research Group entitled “Time Series Analysis”.
