Carlos Bastian has a postdoctoral degree from PUC-Rio in 2021. He previously completed his PhD in Finance and Business Administration with a concentration in Real Options from IAG at PUC-Rio in 2009 and was the winner of the Capes Doctoral Thesis Award 2010, in the area of ​​Administration. He has a Professional Master’s Degree in Finance from IBMEC RJ (2004) and an MBA from IBMEC RJ (2001). He is a senior professor in the area of ​​finance at the IAG of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (IAG PUC-Rio). Coordinates the Technological Degree in Financial Management at the Administration Department (IAG) at PUC-Rio. He served as Professor of the Permanent Body of the Professional Master’s in Administration program and Coordinator of the Master’s and Undergraduate in Administration at IBMEC RJ from 2012 to June 2018. He has experience in the area of ​​Finance, with an emphasis on Project and Company Assessment, especially for Real Options and Risk Analysis. He has worked in the area of ​​Energy, Agribusiness and Infrastructure projects and project analysis under conditions of risk, uncertainty and flexibility. He was a consultant for more than 20 years in the area of ​​company and project evaluation, in addition to having worked for companies like Vale in this area.
