Prof Luiz Felipe Scavarda has joined the Department of Industrial Engineering (DEI) since 2002. His research interests are on supply chain integration and its interfaces with sustainability, risk, industry 4.0 / 5.0, business processes and organizational performance. He joins the Academic Graduate Program in Production Engineering in the Operations and Business Engineering research concentration area and the Professional Master’s in Logistics. He has a Productivity scholarship from CNPq (PQ – level 1C) and is a Senior Scientist from FAPERJ. He was the Coordinator of the bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering from 2016 to 2010, Director of the Department of Industrial Engineering for five terms between 2012 and 2023 and Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at PUC-Rio from 2022 to July 2023. He was the Coordinator of Professional Programs in the Engineering Area III of CAPES (2022). He is a founding member of LABGOALS (DEI/PUC-Rio), a Visiting International Professor (VIP) at the University of Münster and a Humboldt Research Fellow (since 2015).
