Resumo: Sepsis is the leading cause of death in intensive care units (ICUs) worldwide. In Brazil, the mortality rate in ICUs reaches 65%. This study aimed to evaluate the behavior of the care processes for patients with sepsis in intensive care units of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston-USA, from the MIMIC-IV database. This available database contains data from more than 200,000 patients registered between 2008 and 2019. Using process mining techniques, it was analyzed the compliance of the treatment executions with the treatment recommendations and then conformance analysis was performed based on SMR and SRU indicators. The results show a general average compliance of 92% and the LOS observed was lower than the expected. The indicators of SMR and SRU suggest a need of adequations in the sepsis treatment process.
