Luiz Brandão is Doctor in Finance by the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (2002), an has MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (1979), a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University (1977) and a Civil Engineering degree from PUC-Rio. He has experience in the area of Administration, with emphasis on Analysis and Evaluation of Projects and Companies, Real Options and Risk Analysis. He is one of the coordinators of NUPEI – Nucleus of Research in Energy and Infrastructure of PUC-Rio, acting in projects in the area of Energy, Infrastructure, Public-Private Partnerships and analysis of projects in conditions of risk, uncertainty and flexibility. He was the supervisor of the Doctor thesis winner of the 2011 CAPES Theses Award and winner of the 2007 ANPAD Award for best work in finance.
