Dr. Fernanda Baião is a Professor of the Department of Industrial Engineering at PUC-Rio, Brazil. Her research interests cover the following areas:
- Conceptual Modelling and Ontologies
- Data Science and Data Engineering
- Business Process Management (BPM), in particular Knowledge-intensive Process Management
- Data Integration through Ontology Matching
She holds D.Sc (2001) and M.Sc (1997) degrees from COPPE/UFRJ. From 2004 to 2018 she was an Associate Professor at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro, where she was the lead scientist of a research group that developed IT solutions for automatically learning, integrating, and adapting models from structured and unstructured data.
She coordinates the NOIS Research Lab.
